Thank you for following the game with us! (21:54:02)

For Real Sociedad this home loss means a setback in their fight for the Europa League but they stay ahead of Villarreal who lost 0-1 against Atlético Madrid on the road earlier today!

Real Madrid keep their chances for the La Liga title 2013-14 alive after FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid also won today!

In the first half Real Sociedad were at least equal to Real Madrid and could have scored first various times but a goal late in the first half by former Real Sociedad midfielder Illarramendi opened the scoring for the team from the capital.

In the second half Real Madrid completely outplayed Real Sociedad though and hit twice the crossbar and had multiple scoring opportunities of which they used three through Bale, Pepe and Morata to make it a 4-0 away win which is maybe a one or two goals too high.
