Kousa, Nurmi and Virtanen scores for Finnish side. The first period was very even and concluded 0-0, but after that there was little the Freezers could do to create any sustained attack and seriously place Lukko under pressure. Lukko on the other hand was able to create some better opportunities and capitalize on the 3 of them. The 2nd goal appears to have been back breaker – it wasn't very clear that the goal was even scored.
Lukko Rama and Lulea Hockey are now with 6 points on top of the Group K standings, Hamburg and Nottingham without a single point. (20:11:25)
Hamburg Freezers – Lukko Rauma 0:2.
"A fairly even match to this point has Lukko up 1-0 after two periods of play. Neither team has had more than a handful of chances at this point and although Lukko has been showing a bit more in the puck-possession department, the Freezers have been responsible for most of the game's big checks" – writes our reporter in his conclusion after 40 minutes of play from O2 world in Hamburg.
Zlin is now leading group D with 5 points (they won after penalty shots in Berlin on Friday), Djurgarden is third with 2 points.
Zlin could celebrate with the crowd as they were able to give them a great support during the game.
Jiri Marusak, PSG Zlin defenceman, did play for Djurgarden in 2006-07 and 2007-08 campaings. He meets his then team-mate Daniel Fernholm in current DIF roster.
After retiring, he coached in France, Italy, Switzerland and eventually Germany. Hamburg Freezers won the regular season in 2013–14 DEL, but lost semifinals to ERC Ingolstadt in 6 games.
DIF's Sorenson got a 2+10 penalty for checking to the head and neck area late in the second period and it allowed Zlin to score their 2nd goal of the game, Petr Cajanek was the scorer.
Home team's captain Cajanek was missing the inaugural CHL game on Friday as Zlin was travelling to Berlin because he took part in Pavol Demitra tribute charity game in Trencin, Slovakia along with Gaborik, Satan, Bondra, Nash or Bartecko. Pavol Demitra passed away in the plane crash of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in 2011.
You can read the full story about the Pavol Demitra here.
5 seconds before the final whistle, Michal Barinka scores in 5-3 powerplay. Lukas Pech had an assist on this goal so both Pech and Kumstat are with 4 points today and their line with Rolinek basically gets a full credit for Sparta's victory.
Sparta is travelling home with 5 points from two road games which is a great start for Prague's team as Sparta leads the group G.
Both teams will meet again in two weeks in Prague.
Sell-out crowd (Tumba was a international star at that time, best forward of 1962 world championships) saw a home team victory 5:3 with Motorlet. After the game, Tumba returned to Sweden.
His rotation created a space for Rolinek, who has been waiting at the left post, but instead of shot Rolinek found Lukas Pech who had an easy job to tip the puck to the empty net.
Pech and Kumstat are famous "twins" of Czech hockey. Pech, who is only 172 cm tall, and Kumstat with his 197 cm are incomparable in a matter of height, but has found a great chemistry playing with each other. After a 10 seasons in Karlovy Vary, both moved to Sparta in summer 2013.
