    Neman has already played five official matches in the Belarus Cup but could not get through to the semifinals of the tournament after losing in two games. Adler Mannheim took part in two friendly games: against Kloten (2:3) and Sparta Prague (2:3).
     
    The Champions Leaugue game for Greg Ireland will be the first official match for a new head coach of Adler Mannheim. Last year german team did not make playoffs.
     
    Adler Mannheim retained most part of the roster. Forward Matthias Plachta joined Arizona Coyotes in the NHL, another german player Frank Mauer went to EHC München, canadian Bobby Raymond moved to Iserlohn Roosters and former NHL def. Kurtis Foster – to Nürnberg Ice Tigers. Adler Mannheim replenished with canadian defensman Mathieu Carle (Medvescak Zagreb) and forwards Brent Raedeke (Iserlohn Roosters), Ryan MacMurchy (ERC Ingolstadt) and Philip Riefers (Augsburger Panther). In addition Adler extended Steve Wagner (D), Andrew Joudrey (F) and Brandon Yip (F).
     
    There are a lot of moves took place in Neman Grodno: defenders Ilya Kaznadey (last club – Dinamo Minsk), Sergei Yakimovich (SKA-Kareliya St. Petersburg) and forwards Michal Chovan (HKM Zvolen), Milan Mikulík (BK Mlada Boleslav), Frantisek Skladany (Buran Voronezh) recruited to the club. Daniel Seman signed with the club for 1 year. Also, сzech сoach Milos Holan headed Neman Grodno.
     
    First game of the group I will be played against Neman Grodno (winner of the Continental Cup) and Adler Mannheim (the champion of DEL-liga). Bring to mind that after the victory in the Continental Cup Neman got a permit to the Champions League group stage.
