Adler is current German champion, but pre-season was far too short to find a good shape. But they have at least on CHL games in a belt. On Friday they pladed Neman Grodno from Belarus and lost 2:0. Both goal were scored in Neman’s powerplay. This will be their second and also the last away match in a group stage. Last two games will Adler play at their home rink.
Vítkovice struggled a lot in pre-season. The won only two from seven matches, one against second tier team AZ Havířov and one against fellow CHL team HK Košice from Slovakia. Obviously, in their first competitive match they want to play better. They lost key forwards in Ondřej Roman and Vladimír Svačina svetr last season, but they believe young players in the squad can replace them.
