    That's all she wrote in Piestany for the first game of Day 3. Russia put in a fantastic performance to bounce back from the loss to the U.S.A. and defeat Finland 7-3. The Russians jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but were clawed back in the second period. However, a 4-0 third period saw them overpower the Finns who will now hope for a Slovakia victory over the United States

    Penalty coming against FInland. Great footwork by Artur Boltanov forces the hook from Markus Haapnanen. Additionally Atte Makinen is handed a two minute penalty as well, making it a 5 on 3 for Russia.

    Goal for Team Russia! Yegor Tsvetkov fires wide on a shot from the neutral zone, but the Russians are able to keep the puck in the zone and eventually score in the empty net.

    Goal for Team Russia! Surely that's Russia's place in the semi finals secure. They kept the pressure on despite the powerplay expiring, and smart work at the point by Ilya Dervuk, who finds his D partner YEVGENI NAZARKIN drifting in to the left hand circle, and his shot goes top shelf, beating Voutilainen
    Finland back to full strength. Voutilainen stops a Dervuk shot as the penalty expires
    Neutral zone giveaway by Pilipenko gives Joel Kiviranta a great chance to score shorthanded. He fires a hard slapshot which Sidorov just gets the top of his glove to, deflecting the puck into the corner
    Fazleyev gets a shot away from the right slot but Voutilainen makes the save.
    Russia back to full strength
    Finland's powerplay comes to an end as Juho Lammikko takes a cross checking penalty. Five seconds of 4 on 4 before Svechnikov's penalty expires
    Russia clear their zone. FInland yet to create much on the man advantage
