		Dinamo earned the fast equalizer in the third period but Traktor restored the lead just a few minutes later. A miserable power play work by the Latvians made all hopes for points needless. In the end Deron Quint used a blue line shot to decide the match for Traktor. The top team played with more cleverness and is now the new leaders in Eastern Conference and third in the KHL table after today's loss of Avangard Omsk against Severstal Cherepovets.

		The roles are clear when Traktor Chelyabinsk receives Dinamo Riga today. Home side Traktor (60 pts) is second in Kharlamov Division with more than twice as many points as the Latvians (29 pts) who are last in Bobrov Division. With a clear win today Traktor not only could take over the lead in their division but if Avangard Omsk doesn't win against Severstal Cherepovets also in the whole Eastern Conference. Traktor had a low at the end of November with just one win in five matches before they beat Vityaz Chekhov on Friday (3-2). Dinamo Riga has lost five of the last seven matches and is also far away from their top form. When both teams met for the first time this season at the end of October it was a close match with a 5-3 away win for Traktor but the game was only decided with an empty netter in the last minute. If Traktor gets the expected three points against Dinamo or if the Latvians can surprise them, we'll see when the game starts in a few minutes.
