Donbass – Lokomotiv 3:4 (end)
final
HC Donbass Donetsk
3:4 (2:3, 1:1, 0:0)
Lokomotiv Yaroslavl
Sunday 20.01.2013, 15:30 • Druzhba Palace of Sports • KHL

It was a tale of two import goaltenders today as they were kept very busy. Donbass' Holt came up short, despite his best efforts while Lokomotiv Sanford's gave up two shaky goals early on but responded with a strong third to secure a win for him and his club.

Special teams did not go in Donbass' favor as they were unable to capitalize on two powerplay opportunities in the third period.

Donbass has 2 wins, 2 losses, and 1 shootout loss in January as they face Vityaz on January 24. Lokomotiv will now travel to Riga, to face a slumping Dinamo Riga club on January 22.
