Thanks for following, and don't forget that we'll have coverage of the rest of this World Junior Championship as well. (17:20:04)

    Players of the Game:

    USA – Hudson Fasching
    Germany – Fabio Wagner

It seemed that both teams just wanted to run that final minute off the clock, as did everyone in attendance.

As expected, the Americans are now 3-0, outscoring opponents 19-4. Up next for them is Canada on New Year's Eve. Germany is now 0-3, being outscored 24-4. To even have a hope of avoiding the relegation round, they must beat the Czech Republic tomorrow, but even that would be no guarantee.

    60:00
    Game over.

    59:14
Klein makes yet another save and covers it just as his team gets back to full strength. He's had a long game.

    57:14
Frederik Tiffels is going to the box for hooking, so the USA to the power play for the 11th time in the game. They've scored 6 on the PP.

    54:41
    Icing USA.

    54:25
    Offside USA.

    53:46
    Goal for Team USA!
VINCE HINOSTROZA scores the 8th goal of the game for USA. Assist: Quentin Shore.

    53:21
    Icing USA.

    53:02
Offside USA again. Germany now at full strength.

    52:30
Offside USA with :09 left in their power play. The officials now discussing about the injury to Tiffels but it doesn't seem like any penalty is coming. I didn't see what happened.

    52:20
Vladislav Filin with a shorthanded slapper, blocker save Stolarz, as Germany's Fredrik Tiffels goes down in the neutral zone in pain.

    50:39
And the US right back to the power play as Fabio Wagner is called for hooking.

    50:04
    Goal for Team USA!
Maybe they didn't need another goal but STEVEN SANTINI provided one anyway with a nice deflection of Matt Grzelcyk's point shot. US power play now 11/17 in the tournament. Assists: Matt Grzelcyk, Nicolas Kerdiles.

    49:07
Germany's Jari Neugebauer is called for hooking, so the dangerous US power play goes to work, though I'm not sure if scoring a goal is of such high priority at this stage.

    47:41
High wrister from Dominik Kahun hits Stolarz in the shoulder.

    46:30
Low wrister from Jack Eichel, stick save Klein.

    46:09
Wrister from Jaccob Slavin, glove save Klein. Shots on goal now 41-12 USA in the game. :30 more of 4-on-4 play.

    44:39
Another chance by Matteau and Klein makes another save and covers.

We have coincidental penalties on the play to Germany's Sven Ziegler and USA's Stefan Matteau, so we'll play 4-on-4.
