    This loss is most likely the end of all playoff hopes for Traktor Chelyabinsk after a great race to catch up throughout the whole season. They lay one point behind Admiral Vladivostok before the last game of the regular season and have less wins in regulation (18 vs 20).

    Traktor need a win against Ak Bars Kazan and have to hope that Admiral lose their home match against last placed Amur Khabarovsk.
     
    Torpedo win the away game in Chelyabinsk due to a single goal early in the third period following a 2-on-1 rush. Traktor just found a way to create real pressure in the last minutes of the game but couldn't avoid the loss with the minimum score anymore.

Suddenly there was a 2-on-1 rush after Evgeny Skachkov had conquered the puck inside the neutral zone and he found the completely free standing VADIM KRASNOSLOBODTSEV at the left circle from where he deflected the puck into the wide open net past the already beaten goalie Michael Garnett who was out of position!
