    In the replay of this year´s IIHF U18 World Championship final, Team Czech Republic faces Team USA. The teams have changed a lot, though, so we will see who comes out on top tonight.
    Game started.
    Brock Boeser (USA) gets an early penalty for slashing.
    Sarthou in goal for Team US saves a wristshot from the blue line.
    Czechs play a good powerplay and try to find an opening, but Sarthou saves well against a shot from the left crease and the following rebound.
    Czech team is called for too many players on the ice. Penalty served by Dymacek (CZE).
    Quick exchange of passes by Team USA in the offensive zone, but it all comes to nothing as Czechs steal the puck and clear the zone.
    Jackson finds a loose puck near the blue line, skates into the open defense and takes a backhand shot. Vladar makes a great glove save.
    Foley (USA) is called a minor penalty for interference.
    Team USA clears the puck. Good penalty killing so far.
    Ryan Moore gets on the breakaway and is stopped in the very last moment by Zboril (CZE). Penalty against the Czech player for slashing.
    Czechs move to a 2-on-1 breakaway. Suchy aims high from Kase´s pass, but Sarthou´s glove is quick enough to stop the puck.

    USA open the scoring when Yan´s wristshot hits the post and BROCK BOESER is quick to the puck to tap it in. Assisted by Dennis Yan.

    Another good-looking powerplay by the Czech team, but Sarthou does not let Czech forwards any space for rebounds.
    Chlapik and Zboril are both denied by Sarthou.
    Team USA is at full strength.
    Yan misses the puck in good position. The pass found him all alone in front of the net, but the US forward was taken by surprise.
    The game is pretty even at the moment with Czechs enjoying more of the puck. Yet no major chance on either side.
    Dymacek was skating into a 2-on-1 breakaway, yet before he could do anything, he lost the puck.
    Boeser gets to a rebound in front of the Czech net, but is denied by Vladar who makes a pad save.
    After a spell of Czech pressure, Filipe (USA) is called for slashing,
    David Kase got some space in the slot and fired just wide of the right post.
    1st period finished.
    In very even game, Team USA holds a slim lead thanks to Boeser´s rebound. Czechs are so far able to match their opponents in almost every aspect so the game is still open.
    Start of 2nd period.
    David Kase finds some space between US players to take shot, but Sarthou makes a save.
    Big chance for Team USA. Novak took control of the puck in the neutral zone, moved forward and set up Yan perfectly. Yet Yan was denied by Vladar who made good move forward and closed the space.
    Two US players have to go to the penalty box at the same time. Wilkie (USA) is called for tripping and Laczynski (USA) for kneeing. Two-minute 5-on-3 powerplay for Czechs!
    Goal for Team Czech Republic!
    The game is tied. Czechs eventually convert their long 5-on-3 powerplay into a goal when Weinhold sets up JAKUB ZBORIL on top of the crease and he fires straight into the top corner. Assisted by Martin Weinhold and Lukas Jasek.

    US team is at full strength. Czechs did not create any major chance in the remaining time.
    Another penalty against Team USA. Dello (USA) is called for holding an opponent.
    Czechs try to find their way into the offensive zone, but US plays some very good penalty killing.
    Swaney (USA) gets a minor penalty for delaying the game.
    Another 5-on-3 poweplay, but this time US holds their ground.
    Sarthou is stretched on his line, able to stop the initial shot and also the rebound.

    Very similar situation to the first Czech goal. This time, Zboril is the assistant, setting up FILIP CHLAPIK on the blue line and his one-timer flies straight into the net. Assisted by Jakub Zboril and Lukas Jasek.
    Filip CHLAPIK - 2:1
    Another penalty against Team USA. No doubt on this one, Filipe (USA) makes an unnecessary hook on his opponent and Czechs move to another powerplay.
    Suchy deflects a shot from the blue line by Krenzelok. Sarthou is alert and makes the save.
    Zach Wilkie (USA) lost his nerves after the whistle and cross-checked one of Czech players on his head. Referees opt for a 5 minute major penalty for checking to the head and neck area.
    Goal for Team Czech Republic!
    Quick powerplay combination of the Czech team and LUKAS JASEK sends his one-timer straight to the right post, giving Sarthou no chance to be there in time. Assisted by Tomas Soustal, Filip Chlapik.
    Lukas JASEK - 3:1
    Tough times for the US team. They still have almost three minutes of Wilkie´s penalty to go and are under pressure.
    After long minutes in their own zone, US team finally clears the puck.
    Team USA is at full strength.
    2nd period finished.
    A surprising scoreline on the board after 40 minutes. Czechs lead 3-1 largely due to the indiscipline of their opponent. US team took 5 minor and one major penalty during the second period and conceded all three goals short-handed.
    Start of 3rd period.
    Chlapik (CZE) is called for roughing.
    Spenser Young squanders a good chance on rebound. He misses the open net and fires wide.
    Team USA is called for too many players on the ice. Served by Lanczynski.
    Zboril (CZE) brought down Jackson on a breakaway, penalty shot for Team USA.

    ROBERT JACKSON scores from a penalty shot, taking his time and beating Vladar in the 5-hole area.

    Czech team is playing at full strength.
    Also US now has five skaters on the ice, no noteworthy event during the shortened Czech powerplay.
    Good saved on both sides. First, it is Vladar using his stick to stop a pass heading in the way of Gabriele. Then Sarthou on the other side saves from Dufek.
    The game is even again and looks pretty much like in the first period. US enjoys more puck posession, looking for an equalizer.
    Dymacek (CZE) pushes one of his opponents into the net and is called for interference.
    Czechs got to a 2-on-1 breakaway and Lukas Andel hits the crossbar with a nice wristshot from Koblizek´s pass.
    Team USA pushes forward and is looking for a chance on the powerplay.
    Big save by Daniel Vladar in Czech goal, first saving Terry´s shot from the right crease and then, lying on the ice, stopping Novak´s rebound with his outstretched glove.
    Bachman (USA) is called for slashing.
    USA clears their zone, Czechs with another attack.
    Another unnecessary penalty against Team USA as Olson (USA) brings down one of his opponents far away from the puck. 5-on-3 for the Czech Republic.
    USA is doing really well to kill the penalty. They even manage to clear the puck and dump it all the way across the ice two times. Bachman is now back on the ice.
    Sarthou comfortably saves a shot by Suchy.
    Team USA is at full strength.
    And now even with a chance to tie the game. Dymacek (CZE) gets a penalty for slashing.
    Czechs clear their zone.
    Grant Gabriele acts as a sniper on the blue line, shooting twice in quick succession. First attempt saved by Vladar, the other one goes wide.
    Vladar with his four teammates are under heavy pressure, but somehow they manage to survive without a conceded goal.
    Czech team is at full strength.
    Great atmosphere inside the ice rink here in Breclav as home crowd cheer their team on in the final minutes.
    Jasek almost scored the decisive goal, yet a loose puck bouncing into the net is eventually cleared by one of US defensemen.
    Incredible tempo on both sides as US push forward and Sarthou is almost out of his net and on the way to the bench.
    Sarthou is out of the net, US with six skaters on the ice.

    Almost an equalizer on one end of the rink as Dennis Yan is inches away of tapping the loose puck into the empty net, but shortly afterwards, LUKAS JASEK gets to the puck and sends it all the way into the empty net. Unassisted.

    First upset of the tournament is here. The Czech team continue in their impressive form of recent months and beat Team USA thanks to three powerplay goals in the second period.
