- The first 4-6 shifts were good from our point of view. Tappara was better after the rest of the first period though. The second period was more even and in the third period we had more of an upper hand again.
Fagervall cursed his team's weak performance in both of Tappara's goals.
- We had the puck at the starting point of both Tappara’s goals and then we gave it away and they scored the goals.
He also turned his attention to the upcoming home game.
- This was a tough game to lose but the game lasts for 120 minutes. We have now played the first part and the other half is yet to be played.
Fagervall mentioned also that he has in mind a few things that he wants to go through before the next game against Tappara.
- There are a few things that we will go through with the team before the next match. We will take a look at the special teams for example. Tappara had one power play today and we had a good penalty kill. We should score in each power play ourselves, that is one thing that we can improve in every game.
Luleå aims to win the next Tappara-game that will be played in their home arena. The fans' help is also welcomed.
- We have to win the home game in order to continue the playoffs. Our home crowd will support us fanatically for sure, they have done a great job so far this winter. (21:49:45)
- I have a good feeling now. We got a major improvement compared to Oulu-game.
Tapola gave full credit to Luleå for a hard-fought game.
- This was a tough game. There was much speed on ice and the situations came quickly. We played well though. We could create counter-attacks and when they sometimes were stopped early, we recovered from them quickly. I can be very proud of the team.
Tapola also mentioned that Luleå was just the kind of opponent they were expecting.
- We knew what kind of opponent we would have. We tried to prepare the team in a way that they would not blow out the break just yet. Now they can blow a little. We knew that the game would be like this and we prepared well.
Tapola doesn't see the long trip to Luleå as a problem. The following two weeks after the national team -break will be a challenge though.
- We fly there, play the game and fly back, nothing more special than that. It is going to be a fine game as we play in the playoffs. After that game we are going to play three more games in that week. Now we can take a well-deserved break for a week and play after that.
- The next couple of weeks after the break will be a good meter to us looking at physics and mental conditioning. That will be a tough pace to play.
A nice line of passes and Lajunen gets a free scoring chance and uses it. Scored By JANI LAJUNEN, assisted by Kristian Kuusela and Henrik Haapala.
The puck bounces from Karhunen and Mastomäki is able to hit it in. Scored by CHRISTOPHER MASTOMÄKI, assisted by Johan Forsberg.
A shot from blue line and Larsson doesn't see enough to save. Goal scored by OTTO RAUHALA, assisted by Aleksander Bonsaksen and Patrik Laine..

Tapparas has been dominating team in national league as they’ve scored 16 goals in the past four games. On the other hand, they’ve also lost the last game to Kärpät, last year’s finnish champion.
Tappara also beated CHL-known teams Blues and TPS with rock-solid effort. The scores in those two games were 2-7 and 0-7 in favor of Tappara.
Tappara’s first line, formed by Henrik Haapala, Jani Lajunen and Kristian Kuusela, has been one of the best lines in finnish league this season so far. It’s only fair to expect them to shine again against Lulea.
The visiting team Lulea has golden memories from CHL. Also this season has been quite good for the Swedes.
Forward Jacob Micflikier is the one leading Lulea’s scoreboard with stats 4+3 in 6 games. Also forward Johan Harju and defenceman Brendan Mikkelson have shown some effort in scoring.
It will be fun to see how Lulea’s mobile forward Toni Rajala performs against his former “worst enemy”. Rajala used to play in Ilves, which is the other team from Tampere city.
