Trinec outscored Sparta 2-1 in a bizzare third period in which they took the lead on a goal that Sparta put into their own net that was originally credited to goaltender Peter Hamerlik but later changed to Lukas Zib. Sparta tied it just 21 seconds later on the ensuing power play, and then had a chance to take the lead on another power play shortly afterward but instead, just after it expired, Daniel Rakos scored the winning goal for Trinec.

Shots on goal in 3rd period (and game): Sparta Praha 7 (32), Ocelari Trinec 5 (27).

Rachunek takes a shot from the boards, stick save Hamerlik.
Sparta having big trouble getting possession in the Trinec zone.

Faceoff is outside as the puck was outside the zone at the time the whistle went.
Sparta goaltender Marcel Melichercik is on the bench, giving Sparta a 6-on-5 advantage for this key faceoff in the Trinec zone.
    Timeout Sparta.
Hovorka's centering attempt from the corner is cut off by Hamerlik and covered.
Ton leads a rush but fires a shot high off the glass.
Wraparound attempt by Tenkrat kicked out by Hamerlik.
Great chance for Sparta's Petr Ton to tie the game but he's denied by Peter Hamerlik on the deke attempt.

    Goal for Trinec!
Just after they get back to full strength, Trinec takes back the lead. DANIEL RAKOS converts a nifty pass from Peterek into the open side. Assists: Jan Peterek, Tomas Klimenta.
Shorthanded 2 on 1 for Trinec broken up by Sicak without a shot, back the other way.
Great chance by Petr Ton on a one-timer on a pass from Hlinka, but an even better save by Hamerlik.
Sparta's getting another power play chance in this increasingly surreal third period. Ctirad Ovcacik is going off for holding, and he seems bewildered by the call.
    Goal for Sparta Prague!
Well Sparta answers right back to tie it. KAREL PILAR gets the goal, his second point on the power play today. Assist: Petr Tenkrat.
