Sunday 01.06.2014, 18:00 • ČEZ Arena, Pardubice, Czech Republic • IIHF Inline Hockey World Championship

The Slovaks battled hard in the second period to get themselves in this game, but for the most part the Czechs showed themselves to be a superior team. They will probably battle with the USA for top spot in this group, while the Slovaks are probably the 3rd team.

There's one more Top Division game today, and it's a Nordic Derby between Sweden and Finland. Of course, we'll have every game of both divisions from Pardubice all week long. (19:31:05)

    Players of the game:

SVK – Jakub Ruckay, 1 goal.
CZK – Martin Vozdecky, 1 goal, 2 assists.

The national anthem of the Czech Republic is now playing.

The Czechs manage to kill off the penalty, and the faceoff is now coming in their zone.

    40:15

    36:00
    Start of the 4th period.

A dominant period from the Czechs but they only get 1 goal. It was a big late penalty kill for the Slovaks, as a 3-goal lead would probably be too much for them.

3rd period begins at 18:49 CEST.

The two teams are on the ice for pre-game warm-ups.

Slovakia is designated as the home team and wearing white jerseys with blue trim and a bit of red, white pants and blue helmets. The Czechs are designated as the visiting team (despite playing in front of their home fans) and are wearing primarily red jerseys with blue trim, white pants and blue helmets.

Czech Republic and Slovakia promises to be a competitive game, as these two teams always get up for games against each other. Historically, the Czechs have been much stronger at inline hockey, having won the gold medal here in Pardubice in 2011. The Czechs, though, have a silver medal and a bronze to their credit, so they're no pushovers.
