Tuesday 06.10.2015, 19:30 • SAP Arena • Champions League • 1/16 Finals

    Welcome. Game starts at 19:30.

Hello everybody! Welcome to the live report of the CHL 1/16 finals. Tuesday is going to be an exciting day for the whole competition, as there are the second games of the series coming. 32 teams will battle hard, but just 16 of them can make it to the next round. I am happy I can invite you to follow the game between German Adler Mannheim and Finnish Espoo Blues with us.

Espoo won the first match at home 4–1, although they were outshot 33–19 by Mannheim. Thanks to this score the Finns ale closer to the 1/8 finals. But be careful! There are still at least 60 more minutes remaining. "I expect them to forecheck hard. It will be a physical battle in Germany,” thought forward Roope Talaja after the first game.

Adler won both of their home matches played in the group. This fact can help the Germans and they will rely on their home rink and fans behind. “We need to find a way to score on 5-on-3, especially when you have two of them. It’s something we’re working on in practice,” said Brandon Yip, Mannheim's lone goal scorer in game 1.
