Nevertheless, Fribourg played twice more 5-4, but these special teams were badly negociated. On the last penalty it was even Suja who was closest to score, but his shorthanded attempt was denied by Conz.
The powerplay was much better this time and it pays. After a nice pass by Mottet, LORENZ KIENZLE shoots from the blueline and scores top shelf! 2-1 Fribourg (3-2 on aggregate).

Fribourg-Gottéron leads 1-0 after 20 minutes. The game wasn't on a very high level so far and it was due to a huge mistake in the czech defense, when Rivera was able to break the deadlock. He was served by Rathgeb, made a deke to avoid a defender and the slipped the puck past Kopriva for the 1-0. Short after, Fribourg had another chance by Neukom and then some shots during the only Powerplay of this period, but without scoring another goal.
Kosice on the other hand made some efforts late in the period, but the czech side was never really dangerous so far.
A mistake in the czech defense and the puck comes to CHRIS RIVERA who passes a last defender and scores the first one. Assisted Rathgeb.
