		Russia won in their first match against against Latvia (6:1) whereas Germany got beaten heavily by Sweden (1:8).

	09:13	Goal for Team Russia! A really nice passing between the first attack means 1-0 leading for home team. VALERI NICHUSHKIN had no trouble putting the puck past German goalie after the back pass Yakimov. Assisted by Bogdan Yakimov and Anton Slepyshev.
	10:57	And another attack by Team Russia. Slepyshev passed the pack from behind the net to Yakimov but he was unable to score in a good chance.
	12:44	German players are trying to get to the attacking zone but without success so far. Defense of Russians works really well.
	13:50	A nice pad save by Marvin Cupper. He gave Osnovin no space left to score.
	14:28	Team Germany is now closed in their defense zone with plenty of shots coming to their net at the moment.

	17:45	Goal for Team Germany! Team Russia is now being hit by surprise by quick German goal that came after the shot of FREDERIK TIFFELS. Assisted by Lennart Palausch.

	19:48	Goal for Team Germany! Just 12 seconds to go in the period MARCEL KURTH managed to take advantage of the powerplay after the shot from between the circles. Assisted by Leon Draisaitl.
	20:00	First period finished.
		After the first period Team German is surprisingly in the lead. They were not the better team, though. They were just able to capitalize on the only two dangerous actions they had over the first twenty minutes.
		Players are on the ice and everything is ready for the start of the second period.
	20:01	Second period began.
	21:00	German players are skating faster than in the first period. Two goals apparently have gotten them motivated.
	21:59	A shot made by Dominik Kahun just after the face-off hit just Vasilevski´s glove.
	22:40	Russians can´t get through Team Germany´s defense.
	23:07	Team Russia icing.
	23:23	Now the first Russian shot in the period. Galin aimed just to the Cupper´s pads.
	24:10	Nice combination by the second attack of Team Germany. Herpich passed the puck to Ziegler who missed the net.
	25:27	Game takes place mainly in the neutral zone at the moment.
	26:44	Russian skaters are generating just a litlle amount of chances and that´s why they have been unable to tie the game.
	27:24	Alexei Filippov goes to the penalty box for hooking.
	27:55	Eric Stephan´s wrist shot from the blue line went wide.
	28:31	Goal for Team Germany! Team Germany capitalizes on another powerplay. MARCEL KURTH´s breakaway and shot above the Vasilevski´s pad means leading 3-1 for German players. Assisted by Leon Draisaitl.

	30:39	Shot from the left wing by Arseni Khatsei went straight into the German goalie´s glove.
	31:15	Eric Stephan gets minor penalty for tripping which gives Team Russia chance to cut it to just one-goal shortage
	32:30	Russians unable to take the shot at Cupper so far.
	33:15	Goal for Team Russia! In the very last second of the powerplay BOGDAN YAKIMOV made it 2-3 aftet the one-timer from the blue line. Assisted by Alexei Bereglazov.
	34:27	Russian skaters are suddenly more faster than before. The goal really helped them out.
	35:33	Team Germany in attacked but Bereglazov blocked the shot well, from the stick of Quinlan.
	36:19	Icing team Germany.
	37:34	Malenkikh wrist shot from the blue line just after the face-off was caught by Cupper with no problem.
	38:19	Puck now ended up in the German net but we don´t know if it was before or after the net was put out of its position. Video referee says it was after so no changing of score.
	39:29	The game is mainly situated in the neutral zone at the moment.
	40:00	Second period finished.
		The second period was tied 1-1. In the 29th minute Kurth made it two-goal game for Germany. 13:15 into the second period Russians managed to score thanks to Yakimov. Russians haven´t been playing their A game so far so they need to wake up before the last 20 minutes of regulation if they want to get some points from this game.
	40:01	Third period began.
	41:12	A slap shot by Alexei Fillippov ended up in Cupper´s glove.
	42:34	Icing by Team Russia.
	43:37	Russians are more active then their opponent at the moment. One shot is followed by another...
	44:11	Alexei Filippov gets minor penalty for roughing.
	44:59	Malenkikh with short-handed shot from the left wing cuts about 20 seconds from the penalty.
	45:29	An another breakaway by Russians in penalty killing. Team Germany should be more careful at the blue line.

	47:44	Yakimov missed the net from the blue line. Russians are making a huge effort to tie the game now.

	51:12	It looks as if Russians even did not want to score an equalizer. They are not dominating the ice as one would expect when they need to score at least one goal.

		Germany deserved to win in this match. They were skating better than the opponent. Russians looked like they didn´t have any motivation to win and they were punished for that by four goals in their net. (16:06:38)
