    A big mistake by a Swedish defenceman gives the Americans a two-goal lead. DANIEL O'REGAN intercepted the pass and went all alone on Dansk, deking him out and shooting the puck through the five-hole to the back of the net.

    The Americans strike first! Hartman carried the puck in but his nice backhand move was denied with a great save by Dansk . However, Copp and THOMAS DiPAULI came in whacking away and managed to dig the puck out of beneath Dansk´s pads and across the goal line.
