STAFFAN KRONWALL absolutely wires a slap shot high to the stick side and ends this game in the first minute of overtime. Assists: Artyom Anisimov.
It was only a matter of time. The puck bounces to ALEXANDER CHERNIKOV in front, and he beats Stepanek high to the glove side to tie the score. Assists: Yegor Averin, Yury Petrov.
3rd period begins at 20:41 MSK, 17:41 CET, 11:41 EST.
NATHAN OYSTRICK gets his first KHL goal. His shot from the boards is deflected by Yuri Petrov into his own net! Unassisted.
2nd period will begin at 19:53 MSK, 16:53 CET, 10:53 EST.
Kocian remains in the Lev goal. Again, it seemed to be an equipment problem for Stepanek, and presumably he'll be back in goal once it's fixed.
Surely Lev would like a whistle to get Stepanek back in.
For some reason Ondrej Kocian is coming into the game in the Lev goal. Stepanek seemed to have some equipment trouble. This is Kocian's KHL debut.

Lokomotiv, of course, was completely rebuilt in the off-season following the tragic air disaster last September. They are led by the solid netminding duo of Curtis Sanford and Semyon Varlamov, who have been splitting duties evenly lately. In front of them, the assembled team has played a solid team game for coach Tom Rowe. Alexei Kalyuzhny is the leading scorer with 12 points, while other known players include Niklas Hagman, Viktor Kozlov and defencemen Staffan Kronwall and Vitali Vishnevsky.
Lev started the season very strongly, winning 7 of their first 9 games, but have fallen on hard times recently. After winning only once in 11 games, they made a coaching change and on Wednesday night won in Václav Sýkora's coaching debut. Lev has also received strong goaltending this year from Tomáš Pöpperle, who leads the KHL with 4 shutouts. Their leading scorer is Jakub Klepíš with 20 points, and they have got strong performances recently from locked out NHLers Jakub Voráček, Zdeno Chára, and new acquisition Roman Červenka.
