		An exciting opening period is behind us, we saw only three goals, but there were a lot of chances on both sides. The home team was a little better, but the visitors showed better finishing.

		On the other side, the visitors from Litvínov are off to a good-looking season this year. Twenty-one games into the regular season, the Verva is fifth in the Extraliga standings, only seven points behind the leader from Pilsen. Tonight, the visiting team will try to capture its fifth consecutive victory which would prolong their unbeaten November run. With still more than half of the season left, any point they can get will be useful.
		The home team will try to use their overall success against Litvínov to its advantage today, even though the Tigers will be missing a couple of locked-out NHLers. Goaltender Ondřej Pavelec and forwards Wayne Simmonds and Chris Stewart have all departed the team this week as their lockout contracts reached their ends. However, putting more pressure on other core players of the struggling team might be just what will get them out of their misery.
