    After a good first period where the home team's lead was actually a bit lucky, Donbass was surprised with two fast goals against early in the second and never found back into the match. In the end they even received even another one and as Salavat Yulaev Ufa had by far the better special teams today, the win is also deserved but maybe one or two goals too high.

    Salavat Yulaev Ufa is playing a rather disappointing season so far for a club with big ambitions. If they continue this way they could end up with their worst ever regular season record in their KHL history. But recently they closed the gap to second-placed Sibir Novosibirsk in the very even Chernyshyov Division with 5 wins in their last 7 matches and today Ufa even could let Sibir behind themselves. Ufa's topscorers are Igor Mirnov and Nikita Filatov. Also forwards like Sergei Zinovyev, Yuri Trubachyov and Denis Khlystov are playing a good campaign.

    League newcomers Donbass Donetsk had problems at the begin to find into the KHL with an almost complete new roster but by now they have placed themselves in the mid of the league table already. After the national team break Donbass has always gained at least one point, including a 4-1 home win against today's opponent from Ufa a week ago. Donbass can count with a lot of star players like Rusland Fedotenko, Alexei Ponikarovsky, Anton Babchuk, Evgeny Dadonov or goalie Erik Ersberg.

    We can expect a close game of two very competitive teams that starts in less than half an hour.
