		Five minutes at the begin of the second period were enough for Barys Astana to defeat an always shaky Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk. Barys now has three points advantage towards the non-playoff spots.

		Barys started into the second period just as into the first and this time they were merciless in front of the Yugra net. Four goals within just five minutes decided everything. Biryukov was substituted by Masalskis but also the Latvian received two goals against and Yugra fell apart completely.

		Yugra opened the score with their first chance and then only stayed in defense. Biryukov had to do several great saves to keep them their lead. When Yugra looked a bit more stable the last attack by Barys in the first period led to the deserved equalizer.

	19:51	Goal for Barys! Just when it looked like Yugra would save the small advantage into the first intermission the last attack by the hosts leads to the equalizer. Talgat Zhailauov comes from the right wing and finds VADIM KRASNOSLOBODTSEV in the middle who gets the puck over the line from a very short distance! Assisted by Talgat Zhailauov and Viktor Hedman.

In this Eastern Conference duel the home side wants to increase their one-point advantage towards Yugra in the conference standings to consolidate their 8th spot which is the last position that qualifies for the Gagarin Cup playoffs. With a win today Yugra could switch positions with the Kazakhs and gain a playoff spot themselves. Both teams have won their last matches on the road in overtime. While Barys had its problems with bottom side Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, today's guests Yugra earned a huge surprise win against the star team of Metallurg Magnitogorsk with players like Evgeny Malkin, Sergei Gonchar and league topscorer Sergei Mozyakin. We can expect a hard fight for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and a tight game.
