    Early in the third period Janne Pesonen used a power play for the Ak Bars equalizer. The game was very open and any outcome would have been possible but then there was a really strange game winner by Danis Zaripov who just fired the puck from the left wing - almost at the same height as the goal stands - to give Ak Bars all three points and maybe even more important the lead in the Eastern Conference!

    Oh my god, what a creazy goal !!!!! DANIS ZARIPOV fires the puck from an unbelivable angle from the left side and it goes through the pads of Sanford and just passes the line for centimetres.

    Ak Bars started into the second period with a lot of pressure that was rewarded fast with the equalizer in a 5 on 3 power play. Just 20 seconds later though Kazan faced themselves a two men advantage through Lokomotiv and the hosts could restore the lead. In the following time the match was even with chances on both sides but Kazan continued to take too many penalties.
