		A great game where Kometa once again showed that their strength lies in the 2nd and 3rd periods as they come back from a 0-2 game to win 4-2 over Sparta Prague!! Lots of chances by both teams and lots of action made sure this was one game not to miss!! Both Falter and Schwarz definitely showed their qualities as goaltenders though Kometa's offence showed their prowess and perseverance while their defence showed determination!! 		And so ends an excellent 2nd period with 2 goals for both teams as well as hard hits and plays on both sides! Sparta took the lead with two quick goals in the middle of the period and it seemed for a while that Kometa wouldn't find the energy to come back, however with a penalty being served by Sparta, Kometa quickly used the advantage and scored their first goal of the game which was quickly followed by the tying goal a couple of minutes later. Truly great hockey being played here though the players are started to show emotional strain as more and more fouls are being made, and referees only calling a small portion of them.

		So far we're witness to a great first period with Kometa truly pressing Sparta hard and getting several great chances on net but Marek Schwarz is holding Sparta in the game with some great saves! Sparta seems to be having trouble getting the puck out of their own zone as Kometa dominates the game, decisively setting the pace for both teams. Kometa's defence is, as usual, showing great strength and perseverance, limiting Sparta's shots on goal and not allowing them to set up in front of Kometa's net. So far only a few penalties but importantly Kometa will begin the 2nd period with the 2-man advantage that will last 38 seconds and then another 2 minutes with the 1-man advantage as Rachunek sits for his double penalty for highsticking.

		Of course, what a lot of fans are wondering is whether some of the injured players will be able to enter today's game. However, about this possibility Zdenek Venera is being mysterious. "Some players who were injured have started to practise. Anyway, it is possible that we will use the same lineup as against Liberec. " the coach said at Thursday's press conference in Brno.
		Voices before the game: Kometa coach Zdenek Venera: "Sparta will be a heavy contender, perhaps a little unfortunate we did not meet them when they were not playing so well. They are now clearly on the rise, but that does not mean that we do not want to win."
		HC Kometa Brno: Kometa has had to fight with injuries and sickness, which obviously has affected their results, which are inconsistent. In their last Extraliga game Brno managed to run over Liberec 7:3. Now they wait for their next opponent from the bottom of the table but Sparta has been improving substantially in their past few matches.
		HC Sparta Praha: It looks as if the shadow of last year's season has continued into this year. Under coach Richard Žemlicka Sparta has managed really little. Although they won two first games, then came a series of nine consecutive loses, which initially failed to stop and under their new coach Vaclav Sykora, Sparta is still staggering at the very bottom of the table.
		At the end of November, Kometa for the first time in this year's Extraliga will clash with Sparta Prague. Many fans still remember battles from the spring in the play-offs in which Brno surprisingly beat the winners of the regular season and stopped their path to the finals. Now the situation is reversed, Sparta after a troubled start of the season at the bottom of the table, while Kometa plays constantly at the top.
