    A shorthanded goal by Anisimov got this game started as Neftekhimik couldn't capitalize on their chances and fell short to a strong Lokomotiv club.

    Sanford showed the goaltending depth Lokomotiv has and was solid turning away 23 shots, including some great one-timer chances from Neftekhimik.

    Neftekhimik fell on their heals in the third as Lokomotiv roared alive and started the onslaught on Sokolov, putting 15 shots on the net and having 2 goals. Kronwall's 5th powerplay goal of the season (7 goals total this season) proved to be the game winner.

    Next for Neftekhimik is Metallurg on December 5.

    Lokomotiv will battle for first place when they take on KHL leaders Dynamo Minsk on December 5.
