		Donbass had several big scoring opportunities in the third period, especially in the first half of it, but a strong Barys goalie Vitaly Yeremeyev kept his goal clean in the last 20 minutes. In the end an empty netter ended all hopes for Donetsk and gave a lucky, but not undeserved win to Barys.

		Donbass Donetsk is playing an extraordinary first KHL season. The Ukrainians are 4th in Bobrov Division with 49 points in 35 games and on their way to a solid playoff qualifcation. Recently the team has won four games in a row and three of them on the road. Kazakh side Barys Astana is even positioned better with 52 points in 34 games and thus being 4th in Chernyshyov Division. Three consecutive wins show the good momentum of the guests. A close game can be expected between two serious candidates for this year's playoffs.
