First Zherdev has a break away but can't controll the puck. Then he gives it back into the center position and the puck stayed uncovered after a first save by Rämö against Igor Ignatushkin before RAFAEL BATYRSHIN took the puck and fired it high into the back of the net for the Atlant lead !
Assisted by Igor Ignatushkin.

Recently Avangard Omsk gained three consecutive wins and twice also a shutout. At the start of a three game home stint they defeated Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (4-2) and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod (1-0). Today's guests Atlant Mytishchi suffered a six-game losing streak before winning the last game on the road against Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk (5-3).
Avangard's topscorers are Tomas Zaborsky (28 pts) along with Sergei Kostitsyn and Alexander Frolov (both 27 pts). Atlant's best men is by far Nikolai Zherdev (29 pts), followed by Andreas Engqvist (19 pts) and Nikolai Lemtyugov (13 pts).
When both teams met for the first time this season in October, Avangard gained an away win (4-3 OT). Everything but another Avangard win today would be a huge surprise.
