		Atlético Madrid was the more active team almost all the time. When they earned their lead through Raúl García it looked like the win was secured but out of nowhere Kevin scored the equalizer with three minutes left in the regular time. In the first minute of added time Giovani even had the big opportunity for Mallorca to win the game with a free kick that hit the post.

		RCD Mallorca receives Atlético Madrid this evening for a trend-setting game. While the hosts only earned a total of 16 points in 17 games which lets them be only 16th in the table, Atlético is playing an extradordinary season and they are second with 40 points in 17 games. Although they have a nine-point deficit towards first-placed FC Barcelona, they leave their archrivals Real Madrid behind themselves by seven points. Mallorca stopped a terrible trend with only two points in 11 games by defeating top team Real Betis away (2-1) last week. Atléticos ambitions were stopped a bit recently with away losses against the big ones in the league Valencia (0-2), Real Madrid (0-2) and FC Barcelona (1-4) but in the other five games in this period they even won to zero. In recent years the matches between Mallorca and Atlético almost always were very close with Mallorca gaining four wins in their last five matches at home against Atlético. If the big favourites Atlético stumble again, we'll see this evening.
