		With a goal by Yuri Babenko early in the third period, guests Dynamo Moscow brought tension back into the game but SKA stayed calm and regained their two-goal lead in power play with just five minutes left in regulation. In the end Dynamo early played with an empty net and an additional attacker but it was too late for a comeback. In the end the SKA win is deserved due to the previos two periods.

		SKA stayed the better side in the middle period which started relatively calm. When there was a bunch of penalties on both sides, SKA defender Kevin Dallman used a blue line shot to double the lead for his team in power play.

	39:12	Out of nowhere a Dynamo forward tried to deke out Kasutin but the SKA goalie was there with the pad save.

	35:59	Goal for SKA! KEVIN DALLMAN with an extremly well-placed shot from the blue line during the 5 on 3. The puck found its way into the net after hitting the right post - 2-0 now for SKA in power play! Assisted by Yuri Alexandrov.

		In a fast and entertaining first period SKA St. Petersburg grabbed a not undeserved 1-0 lead through a goal by Viktor Tikhonov. Guests Dynamo Moscow have not yet found into the match and have to clearly improve if they want to take points with them to the Russian capital.

	17:17	Hard shot by a SKA forward and Sharychenkov had huge problems to get the puck away! The atmosphere in St. Petersburg is excellent!
	16:23	Almost a 2-on-1 break away chance for SKA but in the last moment the guest defense was able to clear the situation.

		SKA St. Petersburg receive Dynamo Moscow for one of the KHL's classics, especially in this season where both teams are among the top candidates to win the Gagarin Cup playoffs. Hosts SKA are first overall in the league with 107 points in 48 games while guests Dynamo are not much worse positioned as third overall with 98 points in 48 games. The team from St. Petersburg won their last four matches in regulation, including a 2-1 on the road against today's opponents. Afterwards they defeated Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg (4-1), Traktor Chelyabinsk (5-1) and Metallurg Magnitogorsk (3-0) on home ice. Dynamo were not as succesful but they also won their last three matches against Traktor Chelyabinsk (2-0), Metallurg Magnitogorsk (2-1 SO) and Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg (5-4 OT).
