    Rayo Vallecano defeated Atlético Madrid in the small derby of the Spanish capital. The hosts were more effective and defended well. Atlético was not creative enough and lacked the will to come back most of the time. For Atlético it was already their 5th (!) consecutive away game without a win and their advantage towards Real Madrid is now only four points.

    After a corner from the right side Arda Turan's shot was stopped from a short distance by Rubén but the rebound came to Falcao who scored from two metres into the wide open net. Still the goal came far too late with only two seconds left of the additional time.
