Levante UD were 9th in Primera Divisón before this matchday with 34 points in 24 games. They have good chances to qualify for Europa League again. Guests CA Osasuna were 16th with 25 points and a five-point advantage towards the relegation zone which after the Celta win against Granada on Sunday melted to just two points.

In the league Levante had problems recently with only one win in their last six matches. In the last three they played against Espanyol Barcelona (2-3), Málaga CF (1-2) and Real Sociedad (1-1). At the same time though they beat Olmypiakos Piräus in the Europea League round of the last 32 with 3-0/1-0 wins and qualified for the next round where they will face Rubin Kazan. Guests CA Osasuna only lost one of their last six games, a 1-5 away against FC Barcelona. In their last three matches they convinced against direct competitors Celta Vigo (1-0), RCD Mallorca (1-1) and Real Zaragzoa (1-0).

The head-to-head record gives reason to hope for Osasuna as they won all their last three league matches against Levante (2-0, 2-0, 4-0) without even getting a goal against.
