    It's fitting that Avangard's most dangerous trio all game eventually engineered its only goal. Avangard now leads the series 3-2 and have a chance to win the series on Sunday, when they visit Novosibirsk for game 6.

    After two periods dominated by Avangard, Sibir got the better scoring chances early that period with a couple of power plays. Then it settled down to some defensive hockey the rest of the way, save for a late Avangard power play where they had a couple of dangerous chances. Still, nobody has scored and we have overtime coming up in this important swing game of the series.
