    Avangard Omsk were the more active side also in the last 20 minutes but with a power play goal and an empty netter Sibir Novosbirsk made everything clear. With their solid 3-0 home win they stay in competition and forced the 7th and final game of this first round series that will take place in Omsk.

    Outsiders Sibir Novosibirsk were able to keep their first round playoff series against Avangard Omsk a lot closer than many experts expected. After a heavy beatting in game #1 they answered with wins in the following two matches but by now Avangard have found back to their best form and not only restored their home advantage but also turned the series around in their favour.

    Today in game #6 Sibir have to win or they are out of competition. If Sibir can force another win or if Avangard make the next round, we'll see in a few minutes.
