Both teams stay in touch with the Champions League qualification spot!
After a beautiful combination between Campbell, new man Rubén Castro and Pabón in front of the Real Sociedad area, it is Pabón who scores from a short distance into the far corner to make it 3-3!!!!!!!!
What a cheeky penalty shot by Xabi Prieto!!!!! With a lob just below the crossbar into the middle of the goal he makes it 3-2 Real Sociedad!!!!! The goalkeeper had already been in the corner. Within 11 minutes they turned around completely a two-goal deficit!
After a perfect cross from the left wing by Carlos Vela it is Íñigo Martínez whose header from the penalty shot point finds its way into the left corner for the fast equalizer!!!
The home side with the immidiate answer! What a game! Betis were not able to clear a cross, then Agirretxe made a header that landed in front of Carlos Vela whose shot from about 10 metres distance was deflected past Adrián into the net!!! Only 1-2 now!
What a huge gift by the Real Sociedad defense!!! Long ball by Beñat from the midfield, Mikel González and his goalkeeper Carlos Bravo both think the other one is going to clear thesituation, the ball makes a strange bounce over both of them and Pabón had no problems to score into the wide open net!! González tried it with a desperate jump to make the save but the defender was chanceless!
Betis used one of their few chances to gain the lead through Molina who finnished a fast counter attack into the right corner in the 1-on-1 with Bravo.
Everything stays completely open after 45 minutes. Let's hope the second half is as entertaining. Stay tuned!
After a fast counter Campbell gives a perfect through ball to MOLINA who received it at the border of the 18-yard box and in the 1-on-1 with Bravo he stayed cool to fire the ball into the right top corner for the very, very lucky guest lead!

Of their lats 15 league matches Real Sociedad lost only one - a 3-4 on the road against top team Real Madrid. Since then they started another unbeaten streak that now is seven games long, including a 3-2 win at home against FC Barcelona. Last Friday they beat Athletic Bilbao in the Basque derby away with 3-1. On the other side Betis had five games in which they only earned two points and score a single goal before they beat Champions League participants Málaga CF last Sunday in an Andalusian derby with 3-0.
The head-to-head record indicates nothing good for Betis who only won five times during their 39 Primera División visits in San Sebastián. In the last eight visits though they were able to keep the results close and had a 1-5-2 record against Real Sociedad on the road.
As Valencia only played 2-2 in the city derby against Levante yesterday evening, a win would let Real Sociead and Betis earn the 5th spot in the league table. If this happens, we'll see soon.
