    Avangard defended their 2-0 lead without any major problems for most of the last 20 minutes. Only when Stanislav Chistov used a power play to cut the deficit to the half for Traktor, it seemed like the hosts could force overtime. With his empty netter 63 seconds before the end of regulation Tomas Zaborsky made everything clear for Avangard though.

    In game #4 this was the first win for Avangard in this series. The next match is going to be played in Omsk where Avangard could use the home advantage to get another win. To turn around this series Avangard need a miracle though as Traktor have three matchballs in front of them!
