		With his goal just after the start of the second half Diego Costa scored his second of the evening and decided the match for Atlético Madrid. The home side never found back into the match afterwards and Atlético controlled everything. Atlético cut the deficit towards Real Madrid to just one point again and they now have 13 points more than the fourth, Real Sociedad, who are on the Champions League qualification spot.

		CA Osasuna are 15th in Primera División before this match with 28 points in 27 games and a four-point advantage towards the relegation zone. Today's opponents Atlético Madrid are 3rd with 57 points and lay four points behind their city neighbours Real Madrid who yesterday beat Mallorca 5-2. After a long positive trend at the start of the year Osasuna lost the last two matches against Athletic Bilbao (0-1) and Real Betis (1-2). For Atlético the last two weeks were not much better. The gained a draw on the road against Málaga CF (0-0) before they lost for the first time at home in the league this season in the last match against Real Sociedad (0-1). The head-to-head record is positive for Osasuna in home matches against Atlético but of their last six meetings in La Liga they only gained a single point against Atlético who won 3-1 in Madrid at the start of the season. If Osasuna can make another step away from the relegation zone or if Atlético can stay in touch with Real Madrid we'll see soon.
