Huge mistake by Germany's goalie rob Zepp who tried to cover the puck up after a shot from the left side but pushed it towards TOMAS ZABORSKY with his stick! The Slovakian forward didn't hesitate to use this gift and scored the 3-2 into the wide open net! Slovakia is in front now for the first time!
Assisted by Jozef Stumpel and Roman Kukumberg.
TOMAS ZABORSKY received a pass from behind the net and tried it with a one-timer that went in for the equalizer under the pads of Stana. Bitter for the Germans!
Assisted by Vladimir Mihalik and Roman Kukumberg.
Beautiful goal for the Germans during a counter attack! Perfect pass by John Tripp inside the neutral zone, MARCUS KINK was in a 1-on-1 with the goalie and beat him with a back hander through his pads!
Assisted by John Tripp and Benedikt Kohl.
Shots on goal: Germany 10 (20) – Slovakia 14 (23)
Harmless blue line shot by Michal Sersen and Rob Zepp allows a rebound. The puck then came right to the stick of MARIO BLIZNAK who scored the by now deserved equalizer from short distance!
Assisted by Michal Sersen.
Shots on goal: Germany 10 – Slovakia 9
MICHAEL WOLF waited in front of Stana with his back towards the net and deflected a blue line shot by Nikolai Goc with his stick. The puck then went through the five-hole for the early lead for the Germans!
Assisted by Nikolai Goc and Philip Gogulla.

Germany twice played very well against Finland (3-4 OT) and Russia (1-4) where they even had chances to win in both matches but in the end only gained one point. On the other side Slovakia beat the outsiders France (6-2) before losing against Finland (0-2).
Everything but a win today would be a huge disappointment for either side. The Slovakianns might be in the role of the favourites a bit though as the Germans have been wasting a large amount of opportunites in this tournament already.
