    This evening two of the big favourites to win their group meet in Helsinki. Russia had convincing wins against Latvia (6-0), Germany (4-1) and USA (5-3) before losing surprisingly after a lead against the huge outsiders France (1-2). On the other side Finland had problems against Germany (4-3 OT), Slovakia (2-0) and France (3-1) but won all these games before they were beaten by USA (1-4).

    A win today would give any side a big step towards the quarterfinals!
