    The Austrians tried everything to avoid relegation and even were the better team during most of the first two period where they were able to keep the result at 4-4 long time. In the end though Russia showed their class as a top team with high efficiency and earned a maybe too high but not undeserved 8-4 win against Austria who now have to go back to Division IA – together with Slovenia of the Stockholm group.
