		Dynamo Moscow put a show in the end winning by a big difference. 5:1 final result, and Dynamo capitalize on their great play and performance today. Komarov, Soin and Tsvetkov in the end finish off Traktor to defend the Opening Cup title. Dynamo with this match sends the message to the rest of the league that they're a serious title contendet wishing to repeat last year's success.

		After 40 minutes of hockey, Dynamo answered with a double to take the lead in this match. Pestushko first stroke on a pass from Komarov and then Yury Babenko unassisted scores to get Dynamo up front. They finally capitalized on their better game.

		The first period finishes, and although Dynamo were a better team overall, Traktor are the one in the lead thanks to Lauris Darzins. Dynamo will have to work on their puck control as they often lose possession. And they'll need some luck if we remember Vishnovsky and his empty net miss.

		Well, it all comes to this folks! The start of the new season is ahead of us with Opening Cup game between last year's champions, Dynamo Moscow and the runners-up, Traktor Chelyabinsk. Dynamo will try to defend the Opening Cup title from last year, while Traktor is looking for consolidation after losing the Gagarin Cup. Let's remember last season: Dynamo beat Slovan in conference quarterfinals, went on to beat CSKA 4-1 in the semifinals, and then in the conference finals met their sworn enemies SKA. They almost repeated the sweep from the season before, but went through to the Finals with 4-2. Traktor commenced their title challenge with a hard-fought vitory over Barys Astana 4-3, then smashed Avangard 4-1 and went to the Finals with 4-3 victory over Ak Bars Kazan.
