Slavia – Lev 3:1 (end)
final
HC Slavia Praha
3:1 (1:0, 1:1, 1:0)
Lev Praha
Wednesday 04.09.2013, 18:00 • Eden Arena, Prague • Friendly matches

Lev came back with a stronger third period but their inconsistent play in the first two periods cost them. Goaltender Petr Vehanen was probably their best player, as he faced several odd-man rushes against the flow of play that final period and made some big stops to keep his team close. A strong effort from Slavia, who were obviously pumped up to face a KHL club and a local Prague rival. Dominik Furch also had an outstanding game in goal. (20:16:36)

    60:00
    Game over.

    59:31
Play is stopped in the Slavia zone as the puck hit the ceiling. The faceoff is at centre ice. The Lev goal remains empty.

    58:29
    Goal for Slavia!
With no fear of being called for icing while shorthanded, JAROSLAV BEDNAR shoots the puck from his own zone and it finds the empty net. 2 goals for Bednar today. Unassisted, empty-net goal.

    58:08
Vehanen has been removed for a 6th Lev attacker, giving them a 6-on-4 numerical advantage. Faceoff upcoming in the Slavia zone.

    58:08
    Timeout Lev.

    58:08
Jakub Klepis on the doorstep puts a shot into Furch who covers. This is Klepis's first game back with Lev after signing just yesterday. He didn't get much ice time in the first two periods but he's been on a lot lately.

    57:42
Martin Sevc whistles a low one-timer wide, then Slavia ices.

    56:32
It's Slavia's Petr Jelinek getting the only penalty and he's getting a major penalty and a game misconduct but I didn't catch the announcement--I presume either charging, elbowing, or cross-checking to the head. Lev is on the power play for the rest of regulation time unless they take a penalty themselves.

    56:32
We had a collision in the corner between Furch the Slavia goaltender and Michal Repik of Lev who was racing for the puck, and it has the predictable results. We're going to have some penalties on the play but I'm not sure what yet. Somebody gave Repik a real good shot in the face.

    56:20
Now a long slapper from the point by Slavia captain Petr Kadlec that hits Vehanen in the chest, and he hangs on.

    55:40
Pavel Kolarik with a shot through traffic that hits Vehanen down low, not sure he saw it.

    54:48
Kadlec finds Jelinek with a lead pass and with a burst of speed he gets in behind the defence but is denied by Vehanen point blank. Some huge saves by Vehanen this period to keep his team within striking distance.

    54:29
Play whistled in the Slavia zone and it looks like we're getting coincidental penalties. Klepis of Lev and Valach of Slavia. The former Slavia player, Klepis, accidentally stepped into the home penalty box, which drew some laughter from the crowd.

    52:48
Icing Slavia. They're back on their heels a bit now after dominating earlier.

    52:22
    Offside Lev.

    51:57
Klepis with a high wrister, caught and held by Furch.

    51:42
Lev putting on pressure but the play is stopped as Michal Repik was in the goal crease. Faceoff outside.

    50:40
A Lev player falls in the neutral zone, sending Jaroslav Bednar in alone. Petri Vehanen kicks out the first shot, then Bednar gets his own rebound and tries to stuff it inside the post but cant. Play continues . . .

    50:03
Krejcik with a wrister from the point, blocker save Furch.
