HC Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk
Thursday 12.09.2013, 17:00 • Trade Union Sport Palace - Nizhny, Nizhny Novgorod • KHL

That is all from Euro Live Scores. Thank you for following our coverage of the Torpedo vs. Neftekhimik metchup. We apologize for the slow coverage in the first period as the Barys vs. SKA game blocked our feed. We hope you enjoyed the game. (19:31:32)

Only 5 shots for Neftekhimik in the third to 11 for Torpedo. 31 overall in the game for Torpedo and 28 for Neftekhimik.

Torpedo now 1-2-1 on the year and Neftekhimik is 2-2-0.

Torpedo had two game misconducts in the third. One was accidental, but it was a shot to the face that led to some bleeding. Grabbing the referee by Parshin was idiotic.

Sudnitsin with a shutout as Neftekhimik defeats Torpedo from Nizhny. Torpedo controlled play at times, but credit to the away team defense by making the shots hard and giving their keeper good chances for saves.

    60:00
    Game over.

    59:20
Kulyomin loses his edge and appears to have a face injury. He makes it to the bench after a short injury stoppage.

    58:44
Torpedo with a timeout after Neftekhimik ices the puck trying to hit the empty net.

    58:03
Play has stopped as Torpedo fans are throwing items on the ice. It looks like a coin, a watch and some earrings.

The official ruiling is abuse of an official. Parshin gets a game misconduct.

Parshin leaves the arena. There is under two minutes to play, still waiting to see if it was a minor penalty or a misconduct. Gelashvili back in the net.

Parshin chases a referee and gets a little aggressive. It appears a penalty will be assessed on Torpedo.

    58:00
Gelashvili makes it to the bench!

Stay tuned as Gelashvili will probably try to bring the extra attacker on shortly.

    56:33
    Neftekhimik at full strength.

    55:15
Torpedo had Sudnitsin scrambling, but nothing going in. The power play opportunity is almost over.

    55:00
The ruling was changed. Cibak does his best to put up a fight against the refs, but they got this one right. Torpedo now 5-4.

    54:33
It looks like Torpedo's Denisov is going to go to the box for slashing the stick. On replay, it appears the Neftekhimik player broke his own stick trying to slash Denisov. The refs are near the video review are, but there is no indication the ruling will be changed.

Back to the Khomitsky ejection: he hit the player high, but the face shot was an accident. It was his third penalty of the game, however. Khomitsky – 1.88m....Anisin – 1.64m. It was a hit with the shoulder on a much smaller player.

    53:30
A couple of good chances for Neftekhimik, but the puck is cleared after some great focus by Gelashvili. Denisov and Osala begin to mix things up a bit, but the referee stops play.

    Tim Bourcier
