    The match between last year's regular season winners SKA St. Petersburg and Spartak Moscow is the top game this Friday in KHL. Both sides started extremly well into the season. SKA won all their first six matches of the young season in regulation against Avangard Omsk (5-1), Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg (6-4), Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk (5-1), Barys Astana (5-2), Medvescak Zagreb (3-0) and Dinamo Minsk (5-1) for a perfect record of 6-0-0-0 with 18 points and impressive 29-9 goals that gives them the first place in Western Conference.

    Today's guests Spartak Moscow, last year one of the bottom teams in the West but in the off season they had were able to improve their roster significantly. They beat Atlant Mytishchi (2-0), Slovan Bratislava (5-0), Dinamo Riga (1-3), CSKA Msocow (3-2), Lev Prague (4-3) and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (2-1 SO). With a 4-1-0-1 record they are currently 4th in the West with 14 points.

    A close game can be expected with Spartak in the role as the dangerous outsiders but anything but another three-point win for SKA would be a huge surprise!
