Goaltenders Alexander Lazushin and Petri Vehenan were named players of the game for their teams here in the arena, and no one could argue with those choices.

This time around, Dynamo´s visit will bring no Ovechkin and no record crowd. The record crowd is impossible, as the smaller Tipsport Arena can´t accommodate that many people, and Ovechkin is playing for the Washington Capitals. The team does still boast some familiar names, though, such as Alexander Yeryomenko, who remains one of the league´s top goalies, Filip Novak, whose 6 points in seven games place him 7th in the league in scoring among defencemen, and Maxim Pestushko and Leo Komarov up front, the teams top two scorers with 8 and 6 points, respectively.
After splitting the season series with Lev last season, Dynamo went on to win their second straight Gagarin Cup, and now travel around the KHL bringing the Cup with them, including to Prague on Saturday, where fans will have a chance to see it. In their quest for a third straight title, Dynamo started off by winning their first five games, but have since dropped two in a row -- most recently, they fell 3-2 in a shootout in Riga on Thursday. They currently sit 2nd in the Western Conference behind familiar foe SKA St Petersburg.
Meanwhile in Prague, everybody is still buzzing about Thursday´s come-from-behind shootout victory over Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. Down 3-1 midway through the third period, they got goals from Jakub Klepiš and Martin Thörnberg to tie the game, and then Michal Birner scored the shootout winner. Thörnberg now has 5 goals in his last three games, and his 5 points lead the team overall. Niko Kapanen got an assist to go to 4 points, and defenceman Martin Ševc picked up 2 points to increase his total to 4 as well. Another defenceman, Nathan Oystrick, also has 4 points, as Lev has gotten good production from the back end so far. In goal, Petri Vehanen kept the team in the game for two periods, and will likely get his sixth start of the season on Saturday.
