    Final word:
Hertha BSC opened the match in agressive way and it took home team several minutes to get used to it. As soon as they did, they begun to apply some pressure and played very attractive football. The result came in 23rd minute after corner-kick and some deflections inside penalty area. ball came out of the zone, Christian Schultz was there and kicked with his left foot to put home team in the lead. The rest of first half period passed by both teams running a lot and trying to implement their own style of football to the opposition. Crowd was delighted and very loud. Hertha was better for most of the second half and they deserved equalizing goal. And what a goal it was – Ronny came on field seconds before he kicked a free-kick from some 22 metres and blasted the ball through Hannover's wall – it was undefendable for home goalkeeper. Ronny's next two or three touches of the ball caused additional problems to home side. Hannover 96 at last got themselves together in final minutes and tried to win the game anyway, but time run out for them.
