Both teams have won past two consecutive games. While SKA managed to beat Amur 4:3 in an overtime two days ago, Sibir celebrated a 3:2 victory over Severstal.
A major part of Sibir's success is its Finnish goaltender Mikko Koskinen whose SVS of 94,9 % is second best in the KHL. The leading scorer of the team so far has been Jori Lehtera whose managed to average a point per game in the 12 matches played.
SKA, on the other hand, couldn't complain about lack of talent. Currently there are five SKA players on the league's top scoring list, which is led by Roman Cervenka and Artemy Panarin.
