Metallurg Novokuznetsk
Monday 28.10.2013, 16:30 • LDS Sokolniki (capacity: 5,530) • KHL

    Welcome. Game starts at 16:30.

Spartak Moscow vs. Metallurg Novokuznetsk is a clach between two dissapointing teams in current KHL season. Although not much was expected from Novokuznetsk side – 4 wins in 20 games is trully under-achievement. Metallurg lost in OT two days ago against Vityaz on the road and they didn't even score a single goal in that game. Previous to that they lost at home vs. Avtomobilist, but also won on two additional home games against Yugra and Avangard. Their form is probably on slight rise, but one can never be sure with this Metallurg Nk team. Niko Hovinen, goalie, is in solid form (Sv% 93.2). Rafael Ahmetov gathered the most points for Metallurg so far in 20 games they have played (although he played in 16 of those) – that's 8 (3 goals + 5 assists). Metallurg Nk is on bottom of both – Eastern Conference and League overall standings.
Spartak is on 19th place overall, that's 12th in Western Conference. Jeff Glass, their goalie is also good for now (Sv% 93.0), Rastislav Spirko gathered 15 points (6 goals + 9 assists) and Quint Deron, the defenseman is close with 13 (5 goals + 8 assists). Their last games – lost home game vs. Admiral, won home game in OT vs. Vityaz and lost in Kazan vs. Ak Bars.
It's hard to define favorites for this game, but according to league standings such role goes to Spartak Moscow.
