Possession interchanges between both teams but neither takes it to the attack lately so the game is more or less really calm.

Borussia change sides over their goalkeeper going all the way back and then on the other side playing "controlled football" while they let the time work in their favour.

From the throw-in the ball is sent to the edge of the box on the left, forwarded to Van der Vaart with the head but his shot is wide to the right and there is no threat for Borussia's defense.

A free kick for HSV from the left wing after a foul, Calhanoglu takes it sloppy to the first player and before you know it the ball is on the other side and Borussia burst out.

Calhanoglu and Van der Vaart try to pass back and forth to fool the defense but Stranzl is there solid as a rock and lets no one pass, let alone the ball.

Westermann puts a cross into the zone, he was trying to reach Van der Vaart but he gets closed and the ball slips away.

Another opportunity for HSV as Janses crosses into the middle for Lasogga but he can't reach the ball in the air and it goes out to the right for a throw-in and Borussia have the ball.

There were no changes in the squads during the half-time so we continue with the same lineups.

Hermann in action again for Borussia as the ball is sent to him through the middle, but it's been intercepted by the defense and Sobiech closed it.

In only three touches HSV come to Borussia's box with Arslan sending a one-touch through ball in the air for Jansen, but he gets closed pretty fast.

Jansen takes a shot from the middle with maybe 20 metres away, it's low but far too easy to beat Ter Stegen.

Van der Vaart gets a corner kick as he tries to run with the ball by the edge of the box on the left side. Corner is sloppy and cleared to a range.

Badelj and Jansen create the most opportunities for HSV but Jansen's feed from the left gets blocked and deflected again, in the end only a corner from the right, but Borussia clear it.

Again the game has calmed a bit, Borussia keep possession in their own half.

Arango puts a shot from the left out of the box, it's low and Adler can claim it no problem.

Badelj and Jansen send the ball to Calhanoglu who makes the reception with the chest but it bounces away and the defense make the pass to the goalie who claims it with his hands.

Now we have a shot on goal by Borussia as Hermann tries a header from maybe 6 metres away on the right post after a cross from the left wing by the goal line, easy job for Adler.

Miscommunication in Borussia's midfield as Kramer wants to play the ball to Korb on the right side but plays it behind him so they have to run for it and a HSV player runs onto it but can't regain possession while the fans think he was fouled on the way.

A cross is sent to the box on the right side, Lasogga tries a header for a first shot on goal and Ter Stengen has to claim it for the first time.

Badelj sent a low through-ball to the box from way out on the left, however someone managed to claim it and put into row Z for a corner.

No action whatsoever as HSV again pass around in the defense.

Arango sends the through ball into the box for Hermann who runs in and after it, but Westermann could close his path and let the ball cross the line. Goal-kick to HSV.

Corner is taken to the far post by Van der Vaart, Ter Stegen goes out to box it, and is fouled so the game stops.

Lassoga is surrounded in the right corner, but plays the ball to Beister who is taken down, the referee signals only for a corner kick.

HSV will restart with a throw-in from the right side and try to go to the box.

Something flew onto the pitch from the stands and Ter Stegen doesn't want to put the ball back to play before the referee picks it up.

A lot of combinations by Borussia in mid-pitch with Wendt, Stranzl and Xhaka, in the end the ball meant for Hermann is a bit too quick and goes for a goal-kick from the right.

A chance for HSV in the air but Jantschke on the right wing covers and closes the gap putting the ball into touch.

Still no shots on goal, while neither team can go properly on the offense.

A long ball is sent from HSV to the penalty area, Lassoga was able to claim it in the air, but Stranzl was there to close him up and take the ball away.

Trying to go up front HSV lose possession while Jantschke recovers it and Borussia will go down the pitch.

Seems like the ball crossed the line on the right while HSV were trying to clear and it will be a throw-in from the right side for Borussia.

Immediately HSV get on the attack with Beister sending a low cross to the middle for Van der Vaart but the pass is intercepted and cleared to 30 metre distance.
