A great play by TALGAT ZHAILAUNOV to end this game, driving in from the blueline and going high stick side on Vehanen under the crossbar.
Both teams get 1 point and will now battle for the third one. We'll play 4-on-4 sudden death overtime, which will start shortly. If nobody scores, a shootout will settle this game.
What a play by JIRI SEKAC! A great solo effort in which he takes the puck at the centre red line, carries it down the boards, cuts to the front of the net, fends off a check and backhands it inside the near post. Unassisted.
Vehanen is returning to the ice as the faceoff is outside the blueline, but he's far out and will return once they get the puck in deep.
Vehanen is going to the bench for a 6th attacker with over 2 minutes left.
Puck centred from the corner by Antropov in front to ROMAN STARCHENKO, who one-times it in. Assists: Nikolai Antropov, Alexei Litvinenko.
Shots on goal in the 2nd period (and game): Lev 13 (21), Barys 8 (20).
Faceoffs: Lev 26/45 (Zackrisson 9/13), Barys 19/45 (Antropov 6/11).
Icetime leaders: Lev – Oystrick 14:14, Barys – Lundin 14:51.
3rd period begins at 20:42 CET, 14:42 EST.
Lev gains the zone right away, Sevc had the original shot, it was blocked in front, but Novotny got it and fed JAKUB KLEPIS at the side of the net, who fired a beautiful shot off the crossbar and in to tie the score. Assists: Jiri Novotny, Martin Sevc.
Shots on goal in the 1st period: Lev 8, Barys 12.
Faceoffs: Lev 9/17 (Zackrisson 2/2), Barys 8/17 (Antropov 3/4).
Icetime leaders: Lev – Nemec 7:42, Barys – Savchenko 7:05.
2nd period begins at 19:49 CET, 13:49 EST.
This was the second time Petri Vehanen got caught behind the net and this time it cost him. Barys captain Dmitri Upper beat him to the puck and fed TALGAT ZHAILAUNOV, who simply put it into the empty net. Assist: Dmitri Upper.
Lev Praha is wearing their home red uniforms with blue and white trim, red NY Rangers-style pants and blue helmets. Barys Astana is wearing road white uniforms with two-tone blue and gold trim.

Ari Ahonen and Vitali Yeremayev have platooned in goal and both done well, putting up comparable numbers. It will be Yerejeyev starting on Tuesday -- he had a fantastic outing here in Prague last year.
The leading scorer so far is ex-NHLer Brandon Bochenski, now in his fourth year with Barys, who has 23 points in 26 games. The international roster has contributions from many different countries, with other top forwards being Talgat Zailauov, Nigel Dawes, Dustin Boyd, Roman Starchenko, Nikolai Antropov and Dmitri Upper. On defence, the top scorer is another former NHLer and a University of Maine grad, Mike Lundin with 11 points. Roman Shavchenko is also dangerous from the point with 4 power-play goals. Another ex-NHLer in the lineup is Cam Barker, a recent acquisition who will be playing just his fourth game and is still looking for his first KHL point.
To make matters more difficult for Lev, they´ve never beaten Barys, who won both of last year´s meetings. In fact, in their first meeting in Prague on September 22, Barys ended Lev´s first five-game winning streak with a 4-2 victory, despite a 44-26 shots advantage for Lev. On January 10, Barys´ 5-1 victory on home ice was the middle game of a five-game losing streak for Lev.
In the first three games of this home stand, the Lions have won once in overtime, once late in regulation time, and once in a shootout, so they´ve had a flare for the dramatic lately. The heroes the past three games have been Martn Ševc, Nathan Oystrick and Jakub Klepiš, so it remains to be seen who will step up into the role on Tuesday. After a game off on Sunday, Petri Vehanen returns to the Lev net. Otherwise, the lineup will be exactly the same, right down to the starting line combinations.
