Neither team have been doing good this season, but lately Atlant is on the rise. They've snapped 4 wins in their last 5 games losing only to SKA on the road. They've managed to beat some of the best teams in the league, such as CSKA and Dinamo Riga, so they come to Bratislava pretty confident. Also, they finish their five-game road trip and go back home on Wednesday. They currently hold 10th position in the west with 46 points and a record of 11-8-14 and are still in active playoff hunt.

Atlant won the first faceoff and took the puck into their own zone, and Slovan were a bit too quick so they're ruled offside.

Galimov makes the first save on a shot from the middle by Slovan, but it's nothing serious.

Atlant also threaten going down the ice, the puck comes to the slot but the shot gets deflected by Janus and recovered by the defense.

The game is coast-to-coast as both teams started strong wanting to the get the first lead.

Galimov makes the save from the left but then the net gets dislocated so we'll wait for the technicians to deal with it.

Atlant manage to get the puck across their own blueline after the faceoff in their zone and Slovan keeping it by the boards.

Interesting opportunites on both sides as we saw two shots from each team taking it coast-to-coast, but the goalies were up to the task.

Jaroslav Janus makes the save as the shot came from the right circle and the puck was deflected in the slot, though Janus is focused and holds onto the puck.

A lot of passing mistakes for both teams, so no real possession, the game is mainly in the netral zone.

Alexander Kadeikin takes the puck into the zone over the left and manages to keep possession for some time exchanging positions between front and back, but in the end loses the puck by the left boards as there is no one to feed to in the middle.

Miklik leaves the puck for Bliznak on the left side outside the circles' area, though he gets closed by Atlant defenders and they take control of the puck.

Atlant clear the zone.

With :52 left on the penalty Slovan are still in the zone, but can't find a way to beat Galimov.

Atlant will have to open up and take the puck more serious towards the net if they want to level it up.

Kontantin Koltsov steals the puck in his own zone and drives it to Slovan zone getting a shot on net as he reaches the left circle, but it gets blocked by the defenseman in the way.

Slovan haven't had a decent possession inside the zone so far on the powerplay.

Finally they establish a fine possession and Skoula takes a shot as he comes to the slot from the right, though Galimov is in place.

Atlant is playing at full strength as Artyukhin skates back onto the ice.

Slovan get into the zone on the right and hold the puck by the goal line in the corner, but Atlant close up on them and clear.

And it's an icing on the clearance.

Atlant restart from behind Galimov as neither team were able to generate anything on offense lately.

Slovan fire from the right end of the slot as they exchanged sides passing the puck right in front of Galimov, but he's focused and ready.

One minute left in the first period.

Slovan keep possession within the zone but can't get the puck to Galimov.

Atlant back to full strength.

Slovan try to take the first offense in the second period, but they just can't find the proper feed into the middle.

Icing against Slovan as they try to clear, faceoff back deep into their zone.

Atlant can't get anything working on the powerplay as Slovan play a great penalty killing clearing the pucks.

Atlant establish an offense within the zone and Batyrshin makes an effort to keep the puck from sliding away over the blue, though Janus gets at all shots and keeps the net untact.

Mihalik is back, putting Atlant back to a single powerplay.

A good PK unit from Slovan as they manage to clear the puck twice in a row now.

Kadeikin tries twice in a row from the slot, Janus makes both deflections and then finally the defense is able to clear it.

Trubachyov enters the zone with the puck and clashes with a defenseman in front, no penalty as Slovan force a turnover.

Michal Sersen fires from the right side from the very middle of the circle, but directed towards Galimov for an easy save.

Michal Vondrka drives the puck to the net over the right wing, though the shot gets deflected by Galimov.

Artyukhin with the puck on the left, leaves it for Shmelyov who circles and exits on the right, gets the pass back to the blue line, though Janus keeps his head cool and is fully focused deflecting the shot.

Martin Stajnoch was down on the ice for some time, but manages to get up with help from team mates and leaves to the bench after having collided with Soshnikov.

Atlant manage to clear the zone after Slovan keeping possession in and building on the attack.

Atlant immediately clear the danger, but Slovan will take it slowly and patiently, they have time.

Miroslav Satan gets the pass from the right circle and finds Libor Hudacek on the other side, but he can't score on the one timer as Galimov could retrieve to the other side.

Michal Sersen finally takes a one-timer towards the goal as he gets the feed from the left and fires from just outside the slot, Galimov is in way and forces a stoppage.

Atlant back at full strength.

Bartovic skates back onto the ice, but Slovan is still shorthanded.

Atlant on the powerplay, but couldn't get any shots so far, building on the attack from the perimetre.

Slovan playing a great penalty kill putting tremendous pressure on Atlant in the zone, they can't find a gap for a shot.

Radivojevic skates back onto the ice, Slovan at full strength.

Slovan is back at full strength.

Slovan finally clear the puck down the ice after being stuck in their zone even after the powerplay end.

Atlant win the opening faceoff and dump it in on the right for the attack, Janus leaves the net to play the puck, so Slovan will take over.

Not for long, as Atlant force an overturn and go down the ice again, but the shot from the blue gets deflected into the netting.

Juha-Pekka Haataja fires a shot from the slot, but Janus is there to deflect it.

Jaroslav Janus makes another save as the shot comes from the right circle, he first stops it with the pad and then dives to cover it up.

Slovan struggle in transition as they can't enter the zone and get stopped in the neutral, putting Atlant in control of the game so far in the third.

Even if the puck leaves the zone, Atlant still control it really dominating the third period so far.

Glukhov gets into the zone over the right and dumps the puck in to outskate Mihalik, though Slovan's player is faster so he gets hammered into the boards, but no call by the referees.

The ice has to be cleared from blood and we'll have a brief stoppage, while Mihalik went straight to the locker room with ice on the head, probably he'll have to put a bondage on it. Though the hit was brutal, and Glukhov smashed his head into the glass with the arm, surprisingly there is no call.

Slovan continue shorthanded, and clear the zone immediately following the faceoff.

Another clearance from the defense, looking good so far on the penalty kill.

Dyblenko gets the pass at the blueline on the right, but his shot gets blocked and the puck slips away.

Slovan is back at full strength.

Satan taking the puck inside the Atlant zone, gets intercepted and then Atlant build on the attack from their own zone, struggling to cross the blueline at Slovan.

Atlant try with dump and chase, did give them some success but not for long as Slovan are able to clear it again.

Slovan can't get on the attac and organize as Atlant dominate but from the safe distance not making efforts towards Janus, so the game is pretty much one-way now.

Janus makes the save and holds on on a shot from the right, faceoff coming up inside Slovan zone.

Now a great offensive display by Slovan as they play a few short passes inside the zone including a blind pass to leave the puck for the onskating forward who took it into the slot, but couldn't shoot as the puck was deflected off his stick by Galimov.

So far shots are only 3-2 in favour of Slovan in this period. And we're at the midway point.

Atyushov finds Radulov down the ice who enters the zone in the middle, and fires one up at Janus who deflects it back, but Igor Radulov gets covered and can't scoop it up.

Branko Radivojevic makes an effort towards the net on the other side, Galimov is focused and ready.

The last minute's summary would be something like this: Atlant control the puck, mainly in their own zone, while Slovan defend and struggle to take the puck down the ice.

Michal Sersen takes a wrister from the right of the blue, through traffic but can't jeopardize Galimov who is ready and focused.

Seems like the linesman called icing against Radivojevic. Slovan playing solid defense not allowing much space to Atlant, but struggle to go down the ice and organize on offense.

Vitaly Atyushov will organize the offense for Atlant from behind his own net, with protests from the stands.

Andrej Stastny is down on the ice after a clash Konstantin Koltsov who hit him in the head with his stick and will be called.

Stanislav Galimov makes a glove save on the shot from the blue, as Slovan now keep the puck within the zone with the man up.

The puck gets deflected off the feed into the slot from the right, but Slovan manage to get it before leaving the circles' zone, though the shot after the turn-around goes wide.

Atlant could clear the danger away from their zone as the defense helps Galimov keep the net untact.

Atlant play good on the penalty kill with another opportunity down the ice, though now a pass came to the left post, Janus is there again to make the save.

Two minutes to go in the third period.

After a faceoff inside the Slovan zone, they try to go down the ice, and Galimov is forced to intervene making a deflection.

Haataja manages to keep the puck at the blue and not letting it out, though his shot gets blocked on the way.

Michal Vondrka fires as he enters the zone on the left, Galimov deflecting aside.

Slovan going cautiously and patiently, but in the end dumping the puck for the visitors to take over.

Sersen takes the puck away from Slovan zone but gets intercepted in the neutral zone, Atlant again not able to capitalize as both teams are very cautious.

Mikhail Glukhov drives the puck in on the right and fires on sight, no problem for Jaroslav Janus who makes the glove save.
