CSKA is wearing their red home uniforms that have changed very little since the days when they used to tour NHL arenas in the 70s and 80s -- blue and white trim with a star on the front, red pants and helmets. Lev Praha is wearing their road white uniforms with blue and red trim, red NY Rangers-style pants and white helmets.

CSKA have a 6-point lead on Lev in the Western Conference standings, but with two games in hand, Lev have them within reach. CSKA currently sit 4th with 65 points, while Lev are 6th with 59. Donbass Donetsk are in the middle with 62.
Nikolai Prokhorin is the team´s leading scorer with 26 points in 36 games, while his 15 goals puts him comfortably ahead of the next two players on the team -- Igor Grigorenko and Alexei Morozov -- who have 10 teach. The defence is anchored by Grigori Marshin with 11 points. Other significant players in the lineup include forwards Oleg Saprykin, Alexander Frolov and Fyodor Fyodorov and defenceman Daniil Markov.
Of course, the big gun that was a Lion slayer in last year´s playoffs is Alexander Radulov. If not for an injury that kept him out of 16 games, he´d be the leading scorer on the team and be among the league leaders. As it is, he averages over a point per game and almost an assist per game with 4 goals and 20 assists in 21 games. He missed the first game between these two teams due to the aforementioned injury, but recorded 8 points in six games last year.
As for the Lions themselves, they were on a real hot streak before picking up only 5 of 12 points on a recent four-game home stand. The last two were real defensive battles against teams below them in the Western Conference standings, and scored only once in the two games combined. Against a more run-and-gun team like CSKA, they´ll be looking to get their offence back on track.
"(CSKA) are more aggressive than the teams we´ve played against just now," said team scoring leader Jiří Sekáč "The game that we played them at O2 Arena was low-scoring, but it wasn´t like the games against Yaroslavl or Atlanta. They don´t hold back either. I hope that we can go in there and take home the three points."
A pair of backup goalies will start in goal -- Ilya Proskuryakov for CSKA, and for Lev Atte Engren, who is starting in back-to-back games for the first time this season.
